2 new projects have been added to SharkOS.org. ALPS and OpenTG have made their way under the Development Projects section of this website. Both projects are written in Ruby. Please visit this page for more information. ALPS in particular may be of interest to ArchLinux users, as it provides a facility to automatically update your pacman packages from upstream. ALPS is in early-alpha release stages, while OpenTG is still in pre-alpha development.
A new document series called SharkOS Quickstart Guides has begun. Check out the first in the series, ArchLinux Installation Quickstart Guide. Available in both Flash and PDF versions. Learn the basics of installing and Configuring a new ArchLinux system. Includes the entire setup process, introduction to using sudo, and some basic introduction to using pacman repositories.

Yum has been updated to 3.2.21 for ArchLinux. The sharkoslinux repository has been updated, as well the AUR pkg listing.
A new wiki document on installing and getting started with GlusterFS has been published in the SharkOS Wiki. Includes sample volume spec files for both server and client nodes. Read the GlusterFS Wiki Document here.
The SharkOS Wiki is now online. This will be a resource of information about Packages, software project documentation, and other related items that might fit this website’s purpose.
SharkOS.org has launched its web based package browser, SharkPB. This tool is now integrated into the Repos & PKGS section and provides a nightly-updated list of packages available from our custom ArchLinux repository. SharkPB provides detailed package information, direct download links (for those who may not want to use our repository), and search features. This feature is still in its infancy and will continue to be developed and improved. You can access the repo browser interface directly here.
Site and Project Launch – SharkOS.org is open for business. This site and project is still a work in progress, but I invite you to explore and start using our system. I have already built some packages for ArchLinux to add clustering, hosting control panels, and cross-distro tools such as rpm and yum. I hope you find this resource beneficial and welcome any feedback and suggestions. If you wish to join and help submit package requests for distribution, please contact me.
